I remember when working for earthlink they would get on our cases about the call lengths. I was so glad to move to tier 2 so I could actually work on technical issues instead of doing all the cookie cutter solutions and passing it off to the next Techie.

I hate call centers. I’m so glad I don’t do that anymore.

When I worked for Aetna they timed our bathroom breaks and allowed 8 minutes a day for the bathroom.  This wouldn’t have been a problem if the bathroom wasn’t 3 minutes away...one way.  Not only that they recorded every call and hounded on us to keep call length short.  I was elated when I quit that job.

Yoshi: But now you work from home.  I hate you.

Lisa: They don’t record all of our calls, but they do randomly record calls...and we get 2 ten min breaks during the day...and when it’s busy, sometimes we only get 30 min lunches.  sad

I never had any of those problems at the call centers I worked for. They wanted short call times but it wasn’t unreasonable. I at one point got yelled at for keeping them TOO short.
I am however, waiting for you to get fired still. heart heart heart
