As some of you may know, things got a little crazy for a period, and because of circumstances beyond my control, we closed up shop for a year.
Taking a year off killed the business.
It’s kind of depressing. Because now, due to (again) circumstances (mostly) beyond my control, I now have ample time to devote to designing that I didn’t have when I worked a full time job. But we have no work coming in. We’ve been reduced to a pretty face on a hermit that the world will never see. No one knows we exist anymore.
What am I doing to rectify this?
Not a damn thing because I’m busy moving!
Moving to an apartment that serves no practical purpose anymore. We chose the apartment for its location and my job that would have been half a block from home...only, that job doesn’t exist anymore. I’m now an hour away from any job opportunities, and with the price of gas, I’d have to be making a hell of a lot more than I was to break even with the commute expenses.
We will pick up the truck tomorrow. We still have a lot of shit to pack. We have a lot of shit to throw out. And we still have to figure out how we’re going to pay next month’s rent, since neither of us has a job anymore.
Am I asking for sympathy?
HELL NO, because things could be a lot worse.
It’s just stress, and this blog is my stress relief.
Once we get settled in, I plan on pushing the hell outta WDS. Almost to the point of spamming. Advertising isn’t cheap, but you have to spend money to make money, right? I’m thinking of running some specials and/or contests...any ideas? Feel free to leave them in the comments.
